GDIT is seeking a Solutions Director / Cyber Capability Lead for our Defense CTO organization to help drive the technical solutions needed to win our most complex and strategic deals. As the Lead for the Defense Cyber Technical Enterprise, you will report to the Defense Chief Technology Officer and manage a team of Cyber solution architects as well as work directly on the development of solutions for proposals in the Defense Department market space. You will directly interface with internal and external clients on a pre-proposal basis and will need to be familiar with prevailing Department of Defense and national authorities standards, implementations and policies for Cyber security.

You will need to demonstrate proficiency and have experience in various Cyber security technology products, services and skill areas- to be knowledgeable in all, and expert in a number of Cyber security areas.

These areas include:

+ Assessment of vulnerabilities, countermeasures, incident response and management, policy, compliance, monitoring, analytics, intrusion prevention and detection, penetration testing, cryptographic applications and devices, cryptanalysis.

+ Software development including software tools for dashboarding, monitoring and analysis, patching, virus and malware detection, and anti-virus.

You will also need to be familiar with integration of various security software and devices into an complex IT Enterprise environment. Familiarity with Enterprise and Cloud Cyber are required as well understanding of:

+ Identity, Credential and Access Management (ICAM), Secure Access Service Edge (SASE), DoD Comply to Connect (C2C) and emerging areas like Zero Trust and fusion of AI/ML with Cyber.

Duties include but are not limited to:

+ Analyze RFI and RFP requirements and develop responsive solutions including staffing and other costs, review solutions developed by others, present solutions to internal and external clients, develop and explain use-cases and will work closely with capture and proposal teams.

+ Develop logical and physical architectures and designs.

+ Author proposal materials including writing proposal sections and diagrams and review the work of others in this area.

+ Recruit, hire and make decisions regarding staff assignments, follow up with individual solution architects who develop solutions and manage a small to medium sized team of employees.

Pursuit/Capture Leadership:

+ Lead technical solution strategy throughout the Capture and Proposal lifecycle, from early Qualification through Proposal submission

+ Contribute to GDIT win strategies and lead the development of technical win themes and solution readiness plans

+ Engage current and prospective customers to understand critical needs, socialize and vet solutions, and advise on strategies to shape acquisitions that achieve desired results

+ Identify and select the best technical solutions and approaches to meet anticipated or actual acquisition requirements

+ Lead solution design and the development of key artifacts including, but not limited to architectural models, process diagrams, concepts of operation, staffing plans etc.

+ Develop unsolicited technical recommendations, collateral and RFI/SSN responses to engage prospective customers and position GDIT to win

+ Collaborate with GDIT technical service areas and lines of business to identify and bring the best technical and business strategies and solutions to differentiate GDIT

+ Contribute to teaming strategies including identifying and vetting potential partners

+ Develop cost strategies, LOEs/BOEs/BOMs, and associated rationale

Proposal Leadership:

+ Ensure readiness of solution and proposal support team to prepare a compelling and compliant response to the government’s solicitation

+ Lead development of the Technical volumes and orals presentations for proposals

+ Coach and advise more junior solution architecture and proposal support resources

+ Ensure integration of technical solution with all sections and volumes of the proposal

+ Review proposals and provide critical feedback needed to strengthen our solution and proposals

+ Author Technical volume introductions, key sections and orals slides including developing compelling graphics

Personnel Management:

+ Manage a team of Cybersecurity Architects and Subject Matter Experts

+ Recruit, hire and make decisions regarding staff assignments, follow up with individual solution architects who develop solutions and manage a small to medium sized team of employees.

Required Qualifications

+ Bachelor’s degree in information technology, cybersecurity or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience

+ 10+ years of experience successfully architecting technical solutions and leading and supporting complex capture pursuits and proposals

+ Experience providing cybersecurity solutions to federal and DoD customers

+ Experience with technical leadership and project management

+ Demonstrated experience leading the solution architecture for a deal that booked over $750M.

+ Ability to successfully lead solution development and Technical proposal volumes for large scale ($1B+), highly strategic, and complex deals

+ Ability to thrive in a highly collaborative, fast-paced, growth-focused environment

+ Ability to motivate teams to perform exceptionally over long stretches of time (during capture) and in challenging situations (during proposal development)

+ Ability to effectively engage current and prospective customers to build trust and relationships, clearly communicate solutions and concepts, and influence action

+ Ability to write exceptionally and to create compliant and compelling narrative that best presents GDIT’s solutions and approaches within the government’s requirements and evaluation criteria

+ Ability to conceptualize and communicate or develop rich graphic visuals that help to strengthen the GDIT story and clearly and effectively communicate concepts and approaches

+ ICAM / Identity expertise with deep understanding of DoD ICAM reference design and implementation (aligned to HSPD-12) for privilege access management

+ Experience and understanding of end-point security and comply to connect implementation and mandates within DoD

+ Strong background in data management and current data architecture principles, standards and trending technologies such as

+ Data defined storage

+ Data loss prevention

+ Data rights management

+ Understands networking concepts, benefits and limitations of Software define networking technologies to include

+ Micro and Macro Segmentation

+ Software Define Perimeter

+ Willingness to travel (up to 30%)

+ Willingness to take a writing assessment as part of the in-person interview

+ Clearable US Citizen
