+ Provide excellent customer service, in every situation
+ Know, understand, communicate, and uphold security and operational procedures for customers and all types of vehicles
+ Using current software, sell tickets and collect appropriate fares in accordance with published tariff for persons and vehicles using MSFS vessels or parking facilities
+ Perform daily accounting functions, prepare shift activity/cash report, deposit daily monetary receipts
+ Provide schedule, fare, and other information to the public in person and over the telephone As a Line Attendant, assist vessel crews in managing vehicle queues, check and collect tickets, enforce line up procedures, direct traffic and provide information/direction to passengers and the public as necessary
+ Maintain interior/exterior of terminal building
+ Perform Opening/Closing duties including securing the building and office, confirming cleanliness of lobby, public restrooms, and lighting
+ Perform security functions per the Maritime Transportation Security Act
+ All other duties as required or requested by immediate supervisor
To be minimally qualified for this position candidates must provide evidence of the following experience:
Training, education, or experience in office and administrative support work that demonstrates 1) competency in applying a solid knowledge of the principles and practices of quality customer service to perform complex work in assisting the public with applications, fees, examinations, or social services that have an eligibility or compliance component; and 2) the ability to use independent decision-making on the appropriate processes to follow, information to process, and actions to take in accordance with standard procedures.
Some positions may require possession of a valid Class B Maine Motor Vehicle Operator’s License.
