Full time:40 hours. Schedule may vary based on branch needs includes Saturday mornings.


Role:This an all-encompassing essential role for the credit union. This team member is the face of the credit union. You will have the opportunity to serve and engage our members from all aspects of their transactions. Through use of our sales program IDEAL, you will conduct routine transactions such as deposits and withdrawals with an unapparelled opportunity to identify needs to enrich our members lives. Through proper needs assessment you will proactively offer additional products and services. Ownership of experience is crucial as you will be a single point of contact to develop member relationships.


Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

Work involves extensive communication including, but not limited to, verbal, written and electronic, interaction, and collaboration with people on a daily basis in order to provide exemplary service.

45% Accurately and efficiently processes deposits, payments, withdrawals, cashed checks, wires, fraud packets, etc. in accordance with established policies and procedures while seeking opportunities to enrich our members lives. (IDEAL). Balances cash drawer/TCR. Handles all transactions with accuracy and courtesy, while maintain privacy and security.

Represents the credit union in a professional manner while dealing with members and potential members. Provides "World Class" quality service (IDEAL) to members and potential members (and team members). Follows-up (onboarding) member interactions with thank you notes and phone calls.

40% Fulfills member requests and seeks opportunities for products and services while looking for ways to deepen member relationships and accomplish credit union objectives. Meets members' needs by providing outstanding service, problem resolution and needs based selling; interviewing loan applicants, closing loans, cross-selling, referring mortgages or prospecting.

Prepares and disburses loans within lending limits and credit union guidelines. Actively promotes all CU ancillary products for the protection of the member.

10% Complies with all regulations as required by law, including but not limited to Bank Secrecy Act, OFAC, FACT Act, GLBA, Regulation CC (funds availability), Regulation DD (TIS) and other regulations as required by law as it relates to their position. Completes annual product knowledge training, online compliance and other job-specific courses.

5% Other job-related duties as assigned.

The Qualifications we are looking for:

Six months to two years of similar or related experience as a teller, cashier, or in a member/customer service role. Previous sales experience preferred.

A high school education or GED.

Effective communicator. Someone who is actively able to engage members and build relationships regarding products and services. Excellent communication skills, in person, over the telephone, and in writing. Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job.

Goal-oriented, sales-focused, and driven for results.

Ability to understand and keep up to date with credit union compliance and regulations.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.

Ability to use computer, cash recycler, scanner, printer and associated hardware.

Ability to prioritize and attention to detail are a must.

Able to work branch hours.


Other Requirements:

Occasional travel will be required for ongoing training, meetings and/ or to provide branch support.
