We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Referrals Liaison to join our Physical Rehabilitation Team throughout Central Maine.Job Description:
+ Processes referrals to the assigned department and completes the pre-admission evaluations on accepted patients.
+ Gather, verify, and process referrals, authorizations, and pre-certifications by working closely with physician(s), patients, and payers.
+ Acts as a liaison between referral source and assigned department to ensure referrals have been processed for determination of acceptance to the appropriate facility within the regulatory requirements.
+ Communicates with referral source to obtain required information / documentation for acceptance determination and outcome.
+ Conducts face-to-face marketing with referral contacts on a regular basis.
The ideal candidate will have:
+ Graduate of an accredited/registered nursing program or related field preferred.
+ Maine state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Physical Therapist (PT), or Occupational Therapist (OT) preferred.
+ Ability to use Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, Publisher, Power Point, Outlook).
+ Strong desire to provide excellent customer service.
+ Ability to be detail-oriented, with strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a systematic way.
