Job Summary:Core hours for this position are 8:00a-4:30p with every other weekend & holiday rotationWe are offering an exciting full-time opportunity for an individual to join our team of Housekeeping Technicians. Job Description:

Performs daily cleaning of inpatient rooms room while having meaningful conversation in order to provide our patients with an excellent experience while in our facility.Provides MGH staff with a clean environment by cleaning all ancillary areas throughout the shift.Performs terminal cleaning of discharged inpatient rooms so that new patients arrive to a clean and welcoming environment. Performs cleaning of Operating Suite rooms in between surgical casesReplenish supplies during the course of the workday in all areas of the medical center as well as removing soiled linen, trash, and recycling.Responds to urgent cleaning requests as needed throughout the shift as directed by supervisor. Performs collection and packaging of Bio-Hazardous waste according to regulations.Performs laundering of inpatient personal clothing as requested. Completes daily cleaning of floors as well and special projects as needed.Assists in transporting furniture within the facility when office moves are scheduled.Maintains all Housekeeping equipment used daily.
