We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a Nurse Manager position at our growing Winthrop Family Practice & Express Care. The Outpatient Nurse Manager directs the department’s clinical activities and resources to ensure alignment with the mission, values, and objectives of the department and organization. Must be available by phone on the weekends.Position Highlights:• Perfect for a nurse leader who values community-based care and who can balance being a clinical leader and working along-side staff as needed• Work with a very friendly, supportive team, including 9 providers• Express Care team is integrated with the Primary Care teamThe ideal candidate will have: • Active Maine RN licensure or ability to obtain same in a timely fashion, required• BSN, preferred• 2-5 years of clinical and leadership experience, strongly preferred • Practice-based nursing or nursing leadership/charge nurse, preferred• Proven and demonstrated critical thinking skills• Strong and effective written and oral communication skills
Develops and implements clinical goals, standards, and objectives which directly support the strategic plan and vision of the organization.
Directs and evaluates departmental clinical operations including performance management, staff satisfaction and conflict management. Performs and oversees scheduling, recruitment, payroll and student engagements.
Plans for and monitors regulatory compliance. Determines and justifies needs for systems/equipment/supplies purchases, monitors usage, and oversees proper working order and/or stock supplies.
Prepares, monitors, and evaluates the quality of patient care delivered and coordinates patient care services with patients, staff, physicians, and other departments. Manages complaints and conflicts through to resolution.
