Temporary, seasonal apple orchard laborers. Three positions to fill from June 15, 2021 to November 5, 2021.
Job Duties: Workers will be required to care for and maintain plants and crops and prepare ground for planting. Workers will be required to harvest, handle, and transport harvested crops. Crops include apples, fruits and vegetables. Work is often conducted in extreme weather including heat, cold and rain. one month of experience required in work listed. Exposure to extreme temp, lifting 50 lbs, repetitive movements, extensive pushing and pulling, extensive walking, frequent stooping.
Deductions from Pay: All applicable state and federal taxes required will be withheld The employer will not guarantee to pay the worker a bonus but reserves the right to offer a bonus or to pay an hourly wage rate in excess of highest applicable rate stated above based on longevity of tenure or exceptional job performance.
All work sites are owned or controlled by the employer when additional work sites are listed.
Housing will be clean and meet the applicable Federal and State Housing Standards. Workers will be responsible for maintaining housing in a neat, clean manner. Reasonable repair cost of damage, other than that caused by normal wear and tear, may be billed to workers found to have been responsible for damage to housing or furnishing. Housing and utilities are provided at no cost to workers who are unable to return to their place of residence the same day. The employer will furnish free cooking facilities so workers may prepare their own meals. Free transportation will be provided once a week to grocery store so workers can purchase their groceries.
No tenancy in employer-provided housing is created by this arrangement. The employer retains possession and control of the housing premises at all times. Workers provided housing under the terms of this Clearance Order shall vacate the housing promptly upon termination of employment with the employer.
Transportation at no cost to the worker will be provided between the housing and the work site. The transportation provided will be in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
The employer will reimburse the workers for subsistence and transportation costs to the place of employment from the place from which the worker has departed, if the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, at no less than the most economical and reasonable common carrier transportation charges for the distances involved, as well as the subsistence and transportation costs from the place of employment to the place from which the worker has departed to work for the employer.
Meal Reimbursement Daily Minimum: $13.17; Meal Reimbursement Daily Max with Receipts: $55.00
