________________________________________________________________________SUMMARY: Cleans sleeping rooms in Time-share units by performing the following duties.                                                                                                                                             

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

 

Cleans patio area.                                                                                                                                                                              

 

Scrubs shower, tub, sink, commode and floor.  Replenishes bathroom supplies such as soaps, tissues, etc.                                                   

 

Scrubs all kitchen appliances and replenishes supplies such as detergents, towels, drinking glasses, writing supplies, etc.                                                     

 

Sorts, counts, folds, marks or carries linens.  Strips and re-makes beds.

 

Vacuums rugs and spot cleans upholstered furniture, carpets and draperies.

 

Washes walls, woodwork, windows, door panels and sills.

 

Dusts furniture.

 

Empties and cleans wastebaskets.

 

Transports trash and waste to disposal area.

 

Reports any maintenance needed to supervisor.

 

Renders personal assistance to patrons as needed.

            EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

No prior experience or training.                                                                                                                                                              

 

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other associates of the organization.                                                                    

 

 

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.    

 

OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:

Valid driver’s license may be required.

While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to manipulate cleaning equipment, linen, etc.; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel or crouch; and talk or hear.  The associate will frequently need to climb stairs.

 

The associate must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds and/or move up to 50 pounds for cleaning and furniture arrangements.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly exposed to wet conditions and strong odors and/or skin irritants from various cleaning ingredients.

 

            The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
