Summary

  • Position Summary

This position will work in collaboration with the Regional Education Team (LincolnHealth, Pen Bay Medical Center and Waldo County General Hospital) and subject matter experts to design and develop eLearning coursework using authoring tools and software. The E-Learning and LMS Specialist will have knowledge of adult learning, instructional design skills, project management skills, creativity, and software skills to develop engaging, interactive eLearning courses hosted through the Regions’ learning management system. You will also collaborate with Education staff to provide support in maintaining Education’s learning management system.

  • Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

Education: Bachelor’s degree or Associate’s Degree in relevant field and/or equivalent combination of education.

License/Certifications: N/A

Experience: At least one year of relevant work experience designing interactive, media-rich online courses for professional development. Experience includes intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills especially PowerPoint and working knowledge in at least two e-learning development software programs, i.e. Adobe Captivate and Articulate Storyline. Additional experience includes project management, instructional design, layout design and audio/visual. Experience supporting or administering a learning management system preferred.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Possesses excellent communication skills (oral, written and graphic presentation). Fluent in English language both written and oral skills.

Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
