Job Description

We're looking for a proficient IT Business Systems Analyst (BSA) to enhance our operations at The Jackson Laboratory. In this key role, you'll work with IT and business stakeholders to refine processes and align solutions with our goals. Your expertise will be instrumental in improving processes, advancing business capabilities, and ensuring smooth software implementation. As a BSA, you'll connect technology and business needs, making a substantial contribution to our organization.

This role includes planning, coordinating, data analysis, and documenting IT and business processes and requirements, while applying ITIL, Service Management, and quality/continuous improvement frameworks. You'll plan for Laboratory platform functionality, focusing on ServiceNow. You'll use your strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills, along with innovative workflow and data integration techniques. Your role will involve tackling business process challenges, resolving issues, and providing informed guidance on options, risks, and impacts related to business processes and technical architecture.

Key Responsibilities
Lead sessions with stakeholders to define workflows and applications, enhancing business processes and operations
Facilitate planning sessions and document requirements and process flows
Apply best practices like IT Service Management, ITIL, LEAN, etc.
Create system design proposals and provide direction to developers. Design functionality for applications, workflows, scripts, user forms, and integrations
Investigate application and process issues, document findings, identify causes, and recommend resolutions
Coordinate small to medium-sized implementation projects
Participate in IT process deployment projects including documentation, development, training, and change management
Support the health of ITSM process and applications - monitor health & performance KPIs, facilitate user testing, manage critical data, provide user support & training

Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field, or equivalent experience
At least 1 year of experience with ITSM or similar platforms, including managing, designing, development, and deployment.
Experience with ITSM, ITIL framework, Agile, and enterprise IT projects. Experience with business and technical requirements elicitation and business process modeling
ServiceNow configuration, support, and use for managing ITIL and other IT or business processes.
Knowledge of DevOps and Agile delivery
Experience writing ITSM Process, Policy, SOP, SIPOCs, RACIs, Work Instructions, and process workflows
Strong interpersonal, organizational, and facilitation skills for a complex collaborative environment. Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language
Ability to work independently, prioritize and execute multiple tasks in a high-pressure environment
Willingness to travel to CT and ME campuses as needed, up to 10%

The Salary Range is $55,429 - $92,802. Salary is determined based on qualifications and experience.
