Job Description

As the Head of Capital Markets, you will report directly to the COO with a dotted line to the Navient Treasurer and you will:

+ Own all aspects of the capital markets function within Earnest including but not limited to, forward flow whole loan negotiations and sales, and Bank Partners relationships

+ Partner closely with Navient Capital Markets Team and CFO in discussions related to our wholesale funding strategy that includes ABS, warehouse facilities, and hedging positions

+ Monitor market dynamics to opportunistically execute accretive transactions

+ Drive efficiency in the process to increase speed and remove costs

+ Partner with Credit Risk to understand the performance of assets

+ Partner with the Head of Lending to help shape the loan portfolio to maximize execution and identify investors for program expansion underserved by the market today

+ Able to build and maintain executive-level relationships at Investment Banks and Institutional Investors

Your Impact:

+ Diversify Earnest’s funding model with the aim to lower the cost of funds, and improve execution throughout the economic cycle

About You:

+ Minimum of 15 years of total professional experience having led and executed ABS transactions, whole loan sales, and/or forward flow deals for 5+ Years

+ Posses a deep understanding of the capital markets

+ Existing network of relationships at Investment Banks, and Institutional Investors

+ Experience working in a highly regulated industry

+ Incredible attention to detail

+ Proven track record of success

Even better:

+ Experience at a Fintech Company leading the Capital Markets function

+ Experience with the student loan asset class as either a lender or buyer
