The Cutler Institute at the University of Southern Maine is pleased to announce an opening for a full-time Statewide Maine Roads to Quality Professional Development Network (MRTQ PDN) Program Fiscal Associate.

The Program Fiscal Associate provides support to the MRTQ PDN in the fiscal and programmatic operations of the organization. This includes the monitoring of the MRTQ PDN budget and its subcomponents, using general ledger software, to support the MRTQ PDN Director and Assistant Director with fiscal forecasting and the allocation of resources; the review and verification of Monthly Financial Reports (MFR); the facilitation of the development, implementation, and monitoring of subcontracts and the processing of related invoices; and the purchasing of materials for MRTQ PDN offerings, such as training, communities of practice, professional learning communities, etc.

This position acts as the MRTQ PDN liaison to USM’s Research Service Center and Office of Strategic Procurement and the Catherine Cutler Institute’s Subcontracts Manager. This position provides support to MRTQ PDN Leadership, Program Managers, Program Coordinators, and other staff on fiscal matters and provides guidance on MRTQ PDN, Catherine Cutler Institute, and USM fiscal policies. The Program Fiscal Associate position is vital to supporting MRTQ PDN leadership in developing systems, maintaining efficient and effective operations, meeting contract deliverables, and maintaining compliance with federal, state, and university mandates and requirements.

The Maine Roads to Quality Professional Development Network (MRTQ PDN) ( supports early childhood and out-of-school-time professionals in developing the expertise necessary to provide high quality, inclusive, and culturally responsive care to Maine’s children. MRTQ PDN consists of a partnership with the Cutler Institute ( at the University of Southern Maine (file:// , the University of Maine Cener for Community Inclusion and Disability Studies ( , and the Maine Afterschool Network ( .

This is a grant funded position with a starting annual salary up to $50,000. This position will be located on the Portland Campus.

+ Bachelor’s with at least 3 years of experience, preferably in business administration, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

+ One year of work experience in Customer Service.

+ Attention to detail for data entry and data analysis.

+ Strong computer skills, with proficiency using Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, OneDrive
