Job Description

Cianbro is seeking a staff accountant that has the experience and knowledge to become an immediate contributor to our growing construction company. The successful candidate will demonstrate detailed accounting knowledge and reporting abilities to be able to quickly integrate into our team. They will also show a willingness to follow directions and work as part of the highly collaborative environment that is already in place. Candidates must also have the ability to work individually and have a willingness to expand and learn in our fast-paced industry. Proving the ability to expand and grow will lead to advancement for the right candidate.

Job Responsibilities
Reconciles cash and coordinates with accounting transaction teams the timely and accurate resolution of all reconciliation variances.
Tracks, maintains, and reconciles our balance sheet accounts to ensure accuracy of financial reports and data.
Coordinate the compliance with escheatment filings.
Analyzes information to update and develop reports for the management team's decision-making.
Develops and implements accounting procedures by analyzing current procedures; recommending changes.
Assist in the preparation of the company's annual external audit.
Creates and maintain various account analysis for financial footnotes.
Assist with system integrations and improvements in workflows in areas related to accounting and finance.
Responsible for fixed asset tracking and compliance.
Willingness to assist and understand our payroll, AP, AR, and treasury functions.
Ad-Hoc analysis and reporting as needed.Qualifications/Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting (preferred) or Finance, Associates degree with additional experience, or extensive experience also considered.
Construction accounting experience highly desired.
Advanced in Excel, intermediate in Word, Access, PowerPoint.
Strong written and communication skills.
Highly motivated and organized individual, managing multiple tasks required.
Team-oriented and effective establishing working relationships.
