Housekeeper. 4 temporary, full-time positions. 04/01/2024 to 10/22/2024. Highbrook Inc d/b/a Highbrook Motel located at 94 Eden Street Bar Harbor, Maine 04609. Our housekeeping staff clean rooms between guests, assist with serving breakfast and occasionally clean guest rooms during a guest's stay. Other duties include stocking supply closets and cleaning carts, cleaning and sweeping outdoor areas such as porches and walkways along with cleaning public areas of the property. Housekeeping staff may also be tasked with deep cleaning of guest units as needed. Perform any combination of light cleaning duties to maintain our property in a clean and orderly manner. Guest room duties may include making beds, replenishing linens, cleaning bathrooms, dusting, mopping, and vacuuming. Carry linens, towels, toilet items, and cleaning supplies, using wheeled carts. Participate in our continental breakfast service. Preparing and delivering take-out style continental breakfast orders to guest rooms, cleaning and sanitizing kitchen area and restocking refrigerator and cupboards for the next day. Breakfast duties may include preparing and wrapping a variety of breakfast foods such as breakfast sandwiches, bagels, oatmeal, pastries and fruit according to customers' orders or supervisors' instructions following approved procedures, delivering the completed breakfast bag to the outdoor dining table in front of the guest room at the requested time. 35 hours per week. 7-hour workday. 6:30am - 2pm, 5 days per week, days of the week can vary based on workloads. Saturdays and Sundays may be required. OT hours possible. No minimum education or experience is required. Must clearly speak and read English. Able to drive a golf cart if necessary. Work will be performed in the following counties: Hancock County (Listed as Bar Harbor Town).Wage: $16.00/hr. OT Wage: $24.00/hr. Workers paid Weekly. Optional board/lodging available at at $100/week to be deducted from pay if elected. On the job training provided. Raises and/or bonuses may be offered to any worker in the specified occupation, at the company’s sole discretion, based on individual factors including work performance, skill and tenure. Single workweek will be used to compute wages due. All deductions from the worker’s paycheck required by law will be made. If the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, the employer will reimburse the worker for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will provide or pay for workers’ reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where the employer has appropriately reported a worker’s voluntary abandonment of employment. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Daily subsistence provided at a rate of at least $15.46/day during travel to a maximum of $59/day with receipts. H2B Workers will be reimbursed in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing and other related fees, including those mandated by the government (except passport fees).
