Chemours is seeking a Pipe Stress Analyst / Piping Mechanical Engineer to join our growing Engineering Technology team! This position will report directly to the Engineering Technology Manager and will be located at the Corporate Headquarters in Wilmington, Delaware .

This position will be part of the team that maintains the codes, standards, practices, and drawings pertaining to piping, valves, and pipe supports for the company. The role is responsible for conducting pipe stress analysis, managing the agreement for Caesar II software, and ensuring external contractors follow our piping stress analysis best practices. The position works closely with plant site personnel, capital project teams, and other members of the Engineering Technology group to provide solutions. The role will support both US and international Chemours plant sites across all business units. We offer flexibility in work hours and are a Certified Great Place to Work!

The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

+ Provide consulting services to manufacturing sites and capital projects in piping stress analysis; pipe support design and selection; and piping system design including flange, gasket, and bolting selection and calculations.

+ Perform static and dynamic piping system stress analysis and equipment nozzle load calculations, including cyclic, high pressure, and high temperature systems.

+ Support the entire lifecycle of piping assets including basic data development, system design, bid package development, proposal and drawing approval, fabrication, shop surveillance, installation checkout, commissioning, and repair.

+ Specify data for the selection and purchase of springs, expansion bellows, slide plates, and cryogenic supports.

+ Apply technical knowledge to diagnose, troubleshoot, solve, or help others solve equipment and/or process issues.

+ Interact with key suppliers of pipe, valve, and fittings to ensure requirements are met.

The following is required for this role:

+ BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university with 10+ years piping system design and pipe stress analysis related experience.

+ Expertise in competency related software, particularly Hexagon Caesar II and Paulin Research Group FEPIPE & NOZZLEPRO software.

+ Extensive working knowledge of interpreting and applying ANSI and ASME code relating to piping system design and piping flexibility and support analysis.

+ A valid passport and willingness to travel to plant sites and fabrication shops for face-to-face interactions (approximately 25%).
