Job Description

Eaton Corporation, Electrical Engineering Services Division (EESSD),
is currently seeking a Project Coordinator to join our team. This position is
based at our Lewiston, ME location.

Overview:

The
Project Engineering Center of Excellence team has a national reach, providing
support for key customers, project engineers and our project management staff.
This position provides order management and fabrication coordination for
complex protection and control panels and assemblies. This role supports the overall
Project Operations team, including project engineering, project managers, and
sales engineers. The Project Operations team’s focus is developing and managing
turnkey projects for government, commercial, industrial, and utility customers.

The primary function of this position is to provide Eaton Corporation’s
customers, project engineers and project managers with product, delivery,
claims/returns, and project information. This includes managing customer
orders, order entry, processing change orders, and tracking orders through to
delivery. Successful candidate will also be responsible for maintaining
accurate order information, validating price, entering and maintaining
information in various systems, and managing strategic, large or complex
accounts with an emphasis on world class customer service.

In this function you will:

+ Enter
orders for equipment or services in multiple systems and tracking to delivery
and completion

+ Gather,
track, and reconcile project costs to ensure accurate financial reporting

+ Proactively
communicate in a timely manner with external customers about order
verification, order status, pricing and shipment status. Communicates in a
timely manner with operations to verify lead times, schedule customer orders
according to their delivery needs and communicate special handling requests.

+ Authorize
RMA (Returned Material Authorization) requests and issues RMA numbers.
Investigates claims by conducting fact-based investigation.

+ Maintain
accurate and organized order files, order acknowledgments, and customer contact
information.

+ Enter
new orders from customers, with emphasis on error-free order management. Enters
changes and cancellations using established business rules.

+ Coordinate
shipments and communications critical items per orders.

+ Promote
customer satisfaction and achieves cycle time reduction through team-based
problem solving.

+ Work
within project groups interfacing with finance, applications, and various other
personnel to achieve project deadlines.

+ Process
customer invoicing requests.

+ Supervise
and assist for fabrication and wiring for Project Engineering custom panel shop
located in Lewiston, Maine. This position is to provide engineering leadership
and quality control to a team of electricians supporting our project business
building custom control and relay panels.

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

+ Journeyman Electrician or Associates
Degree in a technical field required

+ Minimum of 5 years of experience working
in for a manufacturing or engineering firm

+ Minimum of 2 years of experience in
purchasing or material management

+ Minimum of 5 years of experience of
managing orders and interfacing with customers (internal and/or external) and
experience in an organization fulfilling detailed contract requirements

+ Legally authorized to work in the United
States without company sponsorship.

+ Must reside within a 50-mile radius of
the work location(s) listed on this job posting. No relocation is being offered
for this role.

Preferred qualifications:

+ Bachelor’s Degree in
engineering from an accredited Institution.

+ Professional Engineer (PE)
or State of Maine Master Electrician

+ Panel fabrication experience
is a plus

Position Criteria:

+ Understanding of Utility Grade Control Systems

+ Strong focus on customer satisfaction and relations

+ Must be comfortable working with all software programs in
Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, etc.)

+ Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to be
flexible to adjust to changing priorities in a fast-paced work environment.

+ Proficiency in systems software, such as Vista, Oracle, SAP,
QlikView, COGNOS, Microsoft Office and various other programs.

+ Ability to influence others without direct authority

+ Strong technical & engineering knowledge and quality control
experience to coordinate building high quality complex protection and control
assemblies for our project business

+ Experience coordinating projects and resources – including
contracted electricians

+ Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

+ Experience managing complex electrical panel and electrical
assembly fabrication

+ Working knowledge of NESC, NEC, ANSI, NETA

+ Strong written & oral communications and presentation skills.

+ Experience managing electrical construction projects.

+ Experience with AutoCAD and / or MicroStation.
