Job Description

Martin Defense Group, a privately-owned defense contractor, is seeking a Sr. Research Enigneer. The incumbent will join a group of talented Engineers, Scientist, and Innovators with tremendous top-side potential devoted to solving novel technological problems with national defense implications in the fields of Cybersecurity, Autonomy, Unmanned Aerial Vehicles and Naval Architecture among others. + Contribute to the development of new predictive design, analysis, and optimization tools with a focus on composite materials

+ Research and development: problem identification, requirements definition, new theory development, analysis, simulation, and experimentation.

+ Provide technical supervision and guidance to engineering teams.

+ Communicate results to stakeholders in the Department of Defense.

+ Support development of new business opportunities: gap analysis, client relations, proposal writing.

+ MS in Mechanical Engineering or related field from an accredited college or university.

+ 15+ years of experience with a focus on structures and analysis methods.

+ Expert-level knowledge in finite element analysis-based methods.

+ Experience with object-oriented programming considered a plus.

+ Highly motivated, self-starter who can take new ideas and execute solutions in an independent environment.

+ Experience with US Army, Navy, Marine Corps, and/or Air Force a plus.

+ Must show proof of work eligibility in the United States.

+ Experience working to and exceeding targets.

+ US Citizenship required.
