Statement of Job:

The University of Maine at Augusta (UMA) Bangor Campus is seeking qualified individuals to expand its pool of part-time clinical instructors for its Dental Hygiene Program on the Bangor Campus, located at the College Center, 201 Texas Avenue, Bangor, Maine. Instructors teach in our spacious twenty-four chair, state-of-the-art dental clinic working with our talented dental hygiene students and community based patients.

For the spring 2021 semester, we have openings on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays (7:30 AM to 5:30 PM) and select evening hours (5 to 8 PM). The clinical operations follow the academic calendar (from September to May). Teaching positions for the spring 2021 semester begin on January 25, 2021 and conclude on May 7, 2021.

Required Qualifications:

+ RDH with Maine licensure or DMD/DDS

+ At least three years’ successful clinical experience

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Teaching experience

+ Local anesthesia certification

+ Courses completed toward a Bachelor’s Degree preferred
