Job Description

Plan, organize and coordinate work for mechanics

  • Ensure safe work conditions & implementation of safety
  • Ensure construction schedule adherence and cost account adherence
  • Ensure first time quality of all work and status MACPAC work orders/coordinate operational schedule; maintain and communicate with other supervisors
  • Achieve and maintain smooth work flow and high degree of productivity
  • Support and administer labor contract and follow regulations
  • Use electronic Time Accounting System (TAS) to maintain employees time and overtime daily

Required/Preferred Education/Training

High School Graduate or GED required

Graduate apprentice preferred
Required/Preferred Experience

Minimum of one year of experience in Shipfitting classification

Minimum of one year of experience in shipbuilding manufacturing processes and Macpac system

Previous supervisory experience in a production environment preferred
