Job Description

The Electrical Engineer to deliver services for Network, Control & Protection, Relays, Transmission line/civil, or substation civil services is responsible for the functions listed below. At least one Senior Engineer is required for each office location.
1. Project scoping
2. Project estimating
3. Ensure projects comply with all national and company TM engineering standards
4. Perform constructability/outage sequence review of all projects
5. Above and below grade Civil and electrical schematic and wiring level review of detailed engineering project
6. Facilitate project work among other engineering roles described in this RFP and help drive items to completion of items on the RFI log, action log, meeting minutes, etc.
7. Provide overall project strategy advice to project manager/project team to ensure that project is completed on schedule and all technical requirements/objectives are met
8. Review of project studies, calculations and reports (DC system study, AC system study, grounding Study, lightning study, geotechnical report, etc.)
9. Foundation design review with a focus of constructability of proposed designs, especially in brownfield substations with outage sequencing concerns
10. Ensure all as-built documentation gets filed appropriately in the plant filing location.
11. Provide feedback to Owner on existing TM standards and help refine the Owner design practices based on Transmission line and P&C knowledge which is required for this position

1. 3+ years or more of power system engineering experience
2. Bachelor’s degree in engineering or engineering technology
3. Strong background and knowledge of all disciplines
4. PE Highly Preferred
