Purpose of Position:

+ Mold Setters are responsible for coordinating all mold changes, utilizing production schedules and PeopleSoft reports.

+ Responsible for daily machine and equipment maintenance and preventive maintenance.

Major Responsibilities:

+ Ongoing Tasks: Coordinate mold changes using mold schedule, PeopleSoft and production sheets.

+ All tasks associated with hanging injection molds Install and retro-fit equipment (pumps, thermolators, gammafluxes) – coordinating with other departments.

+ Move molding equipment using mold carts, fork trucks, low lifts, cranes, electronic flat bed.

+ Adjust molding machines and equipment after mold changes.

+ Perform job tasks for process technicians, engineering, tool room ans molding shift supervisor.

+ Daily machine and equipment cleaning and maintenance, preventive maintenance – greasing, air and water hoses, cleaning checking for oil and water leaks

+ Daily inspections on fork trucks, low lifts and flat bed batteries.

+ Backup for packers, utilities, auto operators and technicians.

+ Quarterly safety inspections and machine audits – fixing identified problems. Follows established company rules and regulations and maintains quality standards

+ Performs other related duties as required.
