Primary Responsibilities

We are seeking a self-starting individual who is an expert in fleet electrification that can incorporated that knowledge into customer fleet or community transition plans. Importantly, while knowledge of electric vehicle charging is important, so too is an understanding of other zero emission systems.

As a member on this new team, you would be in an environment where there is the introduction of new technologies, requiring driving to closure of high levels of undefined/unknown customer/marketing requirements and implementation approaches. You will: assess competing solutions and make appropriate choices and recommendations supporting new technology development initiatives and other critical projects. Provide project management leadership as well as technical guidance to more junior engineers, and lead development activities. Develop, maintain, and track design documents/requirements/specifications for in-house products. Follow and improve development processes/procedures, and provide input to Sr. Management regarding technology trends/directions.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Electrical Engineering or related field required, focus in Power Engineering preferred. MS EE a plus.
  • A background in resonant power converters or other high-power power conversion electronics
  • Demonstrated ability to take designs from concept through to mass production
  • Minimum 8 years in a technical project leadership role developing new technology and new products, interacting with other engineering specialties (civil, structural, materials).
  • Must have the ability to mentor and lead more junior engineers
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Professional registration is preferred
