Position 1 – Manufacturing Automation Engineer I
Experience: 0-2 years
Education/Background: Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology (2 year degree is fine for the right candidates).
?Work with senior controls engineers to generate electrical prints, BoM sheets and other equipment documentation.
Troubleshoot and debug automated manufacturing equipment (PLC’s, HMI’s, servo motors, robots, vision systems).
Collaborate with maintenance and production to maintain and develop preventative maintenance SOP’s and operator SOP’s for automated equipment.
Assist engineers with validation of new automation equipment and modification of existing automation equipment.
Basic programming experience. PLC or embedded systems programming (Arduino, Raspberry Pi, etc.) experience a plus.
Knowledge of automation, servo motors, robotics or similar electro-mechanical systems.
Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
Good communication and writing skills.
Attention to detail.
This position will target entry-level candidates. We can be somewhat flexible with this one. We have a strong controls engineering group – I will involve the team in the interview process – if we find a candidate they are all interested in working with will be willing to take someone on without all the desired skills and train/mentor them on the job.
