The Pittsfield Police Department is currently accepting applications for a full-time police officer to serve as the SRO in the elementary schools. Pittsfield is conveniently located in Central Maine along I-95. Pittsfield is a service center providing employment opportunities in the region. The successful candidate will have completed the MCJA Law Enforcement pre-service training as well as passed the MCJA BLETP entrance standard physical fitness test. State of Maine certified full-time (Blue Pin) Maine Criminal Justice Academy (MCJA) graduates preferred for this SRO position.
Certified full-time candidates will be required to pass a panel interview, medical and psychological exams and a background investigation. Non certified candidates will be required to pass a pre-employment panel interview, background investigation, medical and psychological exams, polygraph and physical agility test in compliance with the MCJA standards.
