What We’re Looking For
Assists assigned department by performing engineering-related tasks including inspections, research, development, calculations, design and delivery on assigned project(s). Assists with structural inspections including but not limited to bridges, culverts, sign structures, mast arm poles, strain poles, high-mast light poles, and marine structures. Assists with inspection report preparation and various office tasks including scheduling, database management, quantity development, cost estimating, and load rating evaluations.
Primary Focus Will Include:
+ Structural inspections of in-service bridges, culverts, ancillary structures, and marine structures.
+ Development of inspection reports complete with findings, recommendations, photographs, tables/graphics, sketches, and cost estimates.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
+ 2 years relevant inspection experience
+ Inspection experience with MaineDOT, Maine Turnpike Authority, NHDOT, VTrans, MassDOT, and/or MassPort a plus
+ Valid drivers license
What You’ll Need
+ Contributes to the preparation or modification of reports, plans and designs for projects.
+ Assists in the preparation of project quantity and cost estimates.
+ Performs other duties as assigned.
+ Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
+ 2 years relevant experience
