What will I be responsible for in this job? (brief summary of the role)
Responsible for assisting the Coding and Education team with reviewing and analyzing Profee Anesthesia ICD 10 CM and/or CPT codes to patient records according to advanced surgical procedures. Conduct Outpatient coder QA reviews to ensure compliance with applicable healthcare regulations.
What are the requirements?
- Years of experience: 3-5 years Anesthesia and Pain Management QA Coding experience
- Education: HS Diploma and Certification, CPC preferred
- Physical requirements: Remote Office
What critical skills are needed for you to consider someone for this position?
Monitor coding trends and provide feedback to Education team for focused sessions to coders and or clients. Position requires strong communication and analytical skills as well as the ability to work independently while still meeting required due dates.
What other skills/experience would be helpful to have?
Assist with identifying clinical documentation insufficiencies that impact code assignments.
The successful candidate must be able to clearly communicate results internally and externally to multiple levels of management (physicians, compliance staff, coders, department administrators, etc).
