Job Description


  • As a DevSecOps Security Engineer, you will design, build, operate, and maintain DevSecOps capabilities with direct and frequent engagement with product development teams to ensure application/product security controls are established early in development life cycles.
  • You will also deliver and promote secure coding techniques and practices, assess vulnerabilities, provide remediation guidance.
  • You will ensure compliance with PCI-DSS, HITRUST, NIST, SOX, SOC and related regulatory requirements.
  • Solid in-depth understanding of data processing and related data security concepts
  • A degree in Business, Computer Science or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • minimum of 4 years of related experience with a Bachelor s degree; or 3 years and a Master s degree; or a PhD with 1 years experience; or equivalent experience.
  • Experience designing multiple security technologies including: Cloud Security, Secure Network Design, Multiple-level security applications, application Security (Secure Coding)
  • Experience demonstrating “expert user” knowledge for all company technology, standard applications, and custom and third party business applications, within his/her group s area of responsibility to ensure user satisfaction and productivity.
  • In depth knowledge of Sarbanes/Oxley section 404 and PCI-DSS
  • Experience with the FDIC and other regulatory agencies.
  • Ability to work under stressful conditions with tight timelines.
  • CISSP, CISM, AWS Security certifications.
  • Engages with software development and infrastructure teams to recommend, pursue, design, and architect security solutions, requirements, and capabilities to achieve compliance and security requirements
  • Maintains and creates security solution architectures, security requirements, reference architectures, design documentation, patterns and similar documentation relating to security controls within the company s computing environment.
  • Identifies and corrects data security concerns in a multiple computing platform environment.
  • Leads and participates in governance functions to promote security objectives (Cloud, DevOps, DevSecOps)
  • Provides and delivers actionable security guidance to project teams.
  • Contributes to WEX ability to achieve external (e.g., FDIC, SOC, SOX, PCI, HITRUST) and internal audits working with all areas of IT and the business as required.
  • Participates in the design and implementation of new systems to ensure protection of information and processes supporting company policies, standards, and current audit and compliance requirements.
  • Contributes to the development and implementation of data security policies, procedures, standards and guidelines in support of the WEX Information Security Program.
  • Maintains currency with techniques and tools that support the data security architecture.
  • Participates in disaster recovery drills; maintains documentation of results & makes recommendations for improvement.
  • Outreach and Awareness:
  • Contributes to the identification and definition of computer/data security awareness, training and education initiatives across WEX.
  • Partners with Learning & Development to implement such programs.
