The postdoctoral associate will work on projects using in vitro organotypic cultures and mouse genetics to study signaling and gene regulation. The research projects involve the generation of transgenic cell lines using CRISPR; generation and maintenance of mouse models of inner ear development and deafness; and characterization of molecular and cellular phenotypes of genetic mutants.
The Jackson Laboratory provides excellent educational and training opportunities for postdoctoral associates. Exceptional candidates are encouraged to apply for the prestigious JAX Scholar award, which supports promising early-career postdoctoral associates conducting cutting edge biomedical and basic biological research at JAX.
