Strategy Analyst – Consumer Underwriting
Newark, Delaware;Belfast, Maine; Jacksonville, Florida; Plano, Texas
Responsible for developing and automating routines supporting data mining, contact strategies, and system loading initiatives. Utilizes a variety of systems including, but not limited to Excel, SAS, AutoSys, and Unix at an intermediary level. Manages projects with urgency and ensures they are completed within the established time frame. Ability to work independently, and proceed with objectives with minimal supervision. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Research established databases in various environments to deliver the desired results. Performs ad hoc analysis using SAS, Excel and other tools to optimize communication strategies. Develops an understanding of code and processes and identifies areas of risk as well as creative solutions for improving processes. Manages triages to determine root cause and resolution and communicates findings to the LOB. Duties primarily include the regular use of discretion and independent judgment.
This role may be filled as a Strategy Analyst II or III depending upon experience. ****
Required Skills &Experience
+ Experience with code and/or statistical tools such as SAS and SQL
+ Skilled with MS Office (Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint)
+ Proficient at written and oral communication, including presentation skills.
+ Strong analytical and problem solving skills
+ Experience with the Bank’s data infrastructure
Desired Skills and Experience:
+ Advanced data mining / programming and analytics experience with SAS/SQL as demonstrated by +2 years of experience.
+ Experience with process design/redesign
+ Consumer Card and Small Business Lending experience
Work Schedule: M-F 6:30 AM-3:30 PM EST
