Job Description Summary:
Purpose: To Assist in the management of multiple restaurant outlets and beverage department by developing and implementing strategies and services which meet the needs of guests and employees. Position is seasonal, April-October.
Areas of Responsibility:
Manages the operation of restaurants and/or lounges
+ Coordinates the set-up of restaurants and lounge areas in accordance with SPI standards
+ Develop updates for departmental Job Descriptions
+ Prints outlet menus and wine lists in-house in good order and composition
+ Confirms daily specials and new menu additions with the Executive Chef
+ Manages the food and beverage service provided in restaurant outlets; manages beverage for catering; coaches employees on effective service and presentation techniques
+ Inspects restaurants and lounge areas on an on-going basis and takes appropriate steps to ensure facilities meet or exceeds the hotel’s standards at all times
+ Conducts daily pre-shift meetings to discuss specials, house count, reservations and new menu items
+ Leads weekly staff meetings and daily standup
Develops and implements strategies and practices which support employee engagement
+ Recruits and selects qualified candidates
+ Provides employees with the orientation and training needed to understand expectations and perform job responsibilities
+ Communicates performance expectations and provides employees with on-going feedback
+ Provides employees with coaching and counseling as needed to achieve performance objectives and reach their fullest potential
Creates 100% guest satisfaction by providing employees with the training and resources they need to maximize employee engagement and deliver exceptional service and teamwork
+ Communicates and reinforces the vision for exceptional service to employees
+ Ensures that employees provide exceptional hospitality and teamwork on an ongoing basis and leads by example
+ Uses teamwork to support guests and employees
+ Seeks opportunities to improve the customer experience by seeking customer feedback and reviewing management reports and developing strategies to improve department and hotel services
+ Provides employees with the tools, training and environment they need to deliver exceptional service and teamwork
