Position Highlights:

The Resident Aide is responsible for carrying out direct resident care assignments to ensure the quality of life for all residents. Candidates with Residential Care Specialist (RCS1) and/or PSS Certification are encouraged to apply!

Certified as a Residential Care Specialist or Personal Support Specialistrequiredwithin 120 days of hire

Responsibilities:

Under the supervision of an RN, performs basic patient care activities of daily living.

Ensures quality of care by assisting residents in all aspects of daily living, promoting resident independence, providing emotional support, maintaining resident dignity and confidentiality and ensuring resident and employee safety in compliance with relevant policies and procedures.

Assists with identification and follow up of resident issues and needs by observation, required documentation and communication with the supervisor.

Ensures social, emotional and recreational well-being of resident by participating in 1:1 and group activity-focused care program in cooperation with Director of Activities.

May perform housekeeping duties as required that consist of cleaning common areas, mopping floors, vacuuming, changing linens, and cleaning bathrooms in resident areas.

The ideal candidate will have:

High school diploma or general education diploma (GED) preferred.

Up to 1 year of experience preferred.
