Southern Maine Health Care is seeking REGISTERED NURSES (RN) in their OPERATING ROOM in BIDDEFORD. The health care work force of the future should have the knowledge and skills to provide patient-centered, community-focused, cost-effective, clinically-effective, coordinated care. To do these things successfully, the work force must be competent, flexible, and adaptive to changes in health care delivery and technology. This circulating Nurse in the OR is responsible for performance of complex, individualized, family-oriented nursing care in accordance with policies and procedures.
Southern Maine Health Care operates 5 busy operating rooms, and roughly 500 cases per month. Cases included general surgery, GYN and orthopedics. Our ORs are staffed weekdays until 6pm.
- Current licensure from the Maine State Board of Nursing as an R.N. BSN preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year RN operating room/surgery experience.
- BLS and ability to perform CPR.
- ACLS certified desirable.
CNOR certification desirable.
