Job Description

The Finance Manager Affiliate Oversight will provide regulatory support and oversight to WEX Bank for all affiliate relationships and transactions as well as decisions affected by Regulation W, Sections 23A and 23B. The Manager will develop risk-based solutions through monitoring, analysis, problem solving, critical thinking and collaboration with multiple parties across WEX businesses.
RISK ASSESSMENT AND MONITORING

  • Regularly identify and assess Regulation W risks and effectiveness of mitigating controls
  • Provide risk-based regulatory guidance after thorough analysis of business processes and regulatory requirements
  • Challenge business decisions outside of established risk tolerance levels and escalate as needed
  • Review new products, services, and capabilities
  • Perform detailed analyses of complex affiliate transactions involving enterprise wide and Bank transactions
  • Work independently to evaluate business risk assessments and establish effective Regulation W internal controls based on regulatory requirements and major compliance obligations
  • Perform 23B market analysis on new and existing affiliate agreements to ensure arm s-length transactions with affiliates
    AUDITS AND REGULATORY EXAM MANAGEMENT
  • Assist with internal/external audits and regulatory examinations
  • Partner with finance, legal, audit and compliance to develop risk-based reviews
  • Support of enterprise-wide Regulation W Compliance Program including development and maintenance of Master Servicing Agreements (MSAs) and monitoring of SLAs related to MSAs
  • Produce actionable program reporting for department and Bank leadership
  • Develop and deliver Regulation W training
  • Provide Regulation W advice and consultation to senior leadership team regarding all Regulation W requirements
  • Develop remediation plans in partnership with business leaders to address internal audit, exam, and other findings
  • Lead Regulation W project initiatives to enhance the Regulation W control environment
  • Amend Regulation W policies and procedures to enhance the Bank s Regulation W Compliance Program
  • Design new processes to improve efficiencies and mitigate Regulation W risk
  • Provide leadership on Regulation W issues across the Bank
  • Perform daily Regulation W activities such as evaluation of routine affiliate transactions and insider lending
    MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS FOR CONSIDERATION
  • 7+ years of experience in finance, accounting, or compliance processes within a bank
  • Undergraduate degree in finance, accounting, or business
  • Knowledge of banking regulations, specifically Regulation W, Sections 23A and 23B
  • Unquestioned integrity and honesty
  • Ability to interact, communicate and provide recommendations to sr. leadership team
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Industrial bank experience
  • Master s degree in finance, accounting, or business
