Apex has an opportunity for a QA Analyst role in the Greater Portland area. This is a 1 year contract position and the pay rate is flexible depending on experience. Here are the details:

Position Description:

The QA Analyst is accountable for creating and executing manual test cases. They will be responsible for determining test strategy and developing test cases that meet the necessary testing of systems as designed and that conform to functional and nonfunctional requirements.

Additional responsibilities include:

•Thoroughly testing software to ensure proper operation and freedom from defects.

•Performing functional/acceptance/regression testing against necessary systems.

•Using tools and processes shared by the project team, thoroughly documents all problems and works to resolve them in a timely manner; reporting progress on problem resolution within the project team.

•Documenting necessary QA artifacts based on established QA processes and procedures.

Required Skills:

1. 5+ years of hands-on experience in software testing.

2. Sound knowledge of quality assurance methods and procedures, as well as familiarity with the full life cycle development processes.

3. Experience working in Agile project frameworks.

4. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, and strong organizational, interpersonal, and project planning skills.

Desired Skills (not required but candidate will have exposure to these skills in this role):

1. Experience with Automated Testing preferred.

Additional Requirements:

BS/BA degree or equivalent experience required.
