What We’re Looking For
Assists the Traffic department by performing engineering-related tasks including research, development, calculations, design and delivery on assigned project(s).
Primary Focus Will Include:
+ Traffic planning and design
+ Traffic modeling
+ Collect, organize and summarize transportation data.
+ Develop micro-simulation models appropriate to specific project needs, including Quadstone Paramics, VISSIM, CORSIM, Synchro/SimTraffic, Rodel and Sidra.
+ Estimate, calibrate and implement travel demand models (highways, transit and/or rail) including TP+/Cube/Voyager, TransCAD and VISUM).
+ Work with engineering staff to prepare detailed signal timing and phasing plans for field implementation.
+ Conduct traffic analysis for transportation management plans including projecting and analyzing diversions, establishing and analyzing improvement concepts, and summarizing benefits and costs.
+ Communicate results in presentations and in writing.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
+ Master’s degree in Engineering
What You’ll Need
+ Contributes to the preparation or modification of reports, plans and designs for projects.
+ Assists in the preparation of project quantity and cost estimates.
+ Performs other duties as assigned.
+ Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
+ 1 year relevant experience
