Treatment Foster Care Coordinator – Part Time – Randolph

Spurwink Services is looking for a Treatment Foster Care Coordinator to join our team! Spurwink is a nationally accredited non-profit organization that provides a broad range of mental health and educational services for children, adolescents, adults and families. Spurwink’s Treatment Foster Care Program currently serves children and families in 11 of the Maine counties. The Treatment Foster Care Coordinator has the unique role of supporting children in foster care and their foster parents, as well as being an integral part of the child’s clinical and permanency planning team.


Care Coordinators provide ongoing support and education to treatment foster parents and ongoing assessment and service planning for treatment foster children. Care coordinators work closely with DHHS, birth families, clinical teams and legal personnel. TFCCs develop tailored service plans and assessments, complete intakes for children new to the program, and meet with families and children on a predetermined basis, while ensuring that documentation is accurate and up to date. TFCCs also monitor foster families’ adherence to licensing guidelines and complete home study renewals for their re-licensure. This is a dynamic and multi-faceted role.


Bachelor’s degree and Licensed Social Worker required (LSW-c considered) OR Master’s degree in closely related field. Minimum of two to three years experience working in children’s mental health, child welfare or treatment foster care preferred. Strong written, oral and organizational skills. Ability to communicate effectively with treatment team. Knowledge of the Department of Health and Human Services Foster Care Policies and Child Welfare System. Knowledge of treatment foster care and therapeutic services, child protection, and adoption.
