Educational Technician III- Saco Preschool

Location:Saco, ME

Salary Range:$15/hr

Description:

Spurwink’s Therapeutic Preschool Program in Saco is searching for a full-time Maine-D.O.E.-certified Educational Technician III to be an integral part of the classroom, providing 1:1 support to students with a wide variety of emotional, behavioral and mental health-related disabilities. Ed Tech IIIs should be passionate about improving the delivery of programming to our students aged 2-5. The Ed Tech III will work the normal school year, plus a seven week extended program.

Duties:

Our Ed Tech IIIs make therapeutic relationships, and set consistent limits. Think critically and work well as part of the treatment team. Provide a high level of structure and consistency to our students. You will assist in therapeutic crisis intervention and safety restraints, and provide support as a behavioral health professional.

Qualifications:

Our Ed Tech III must have, or be eligible for, Maine Department of Education Educational Technician III certification by having earned a bachelor’s degree (preferred) or by having earned a minimum of 90 college credits (required). Spurwink is an equal opportunity employer.
