Clinician – Refugee Services- Lewiston $2500 Sign on Bonus

Description:

Spurwink seeks a highly collaborative, creative and flexible clinician to join our ShifaME program. This is a program that serves refugee and immigrant children and families impacted by traumatic stress. This is a team based model in which clinicians and Cultural Brokers work together in mental health service delivery. We are seeking social workers who enjoy a combination of school based work and home based work.

The salary range 42,000 (conditionally licensed) – 43,000 (independently licensed). There will be two openings available; one with an immediate start, and another scheduled to start in June.

Many positions include sign on bonuses that are available to full-time newly hired staff. The first half of the sign on bonus ($1250) will be paid after 90 days of full-time employment and the second half of the sign on bonus ($1250) will be paid after six months of full time employment. If a new hire changes status to either part-time or per diem status during any of that timeframe, they will forfeit the sign on bonus that is yet to be paid.

Duties:

The ShifaME clinician will provide a combination of school based, home based and community based services to refugee children and their families. Clinicians receive individual and group supervision as well as training and consultation in Trauma Systems Therapy adapted for Refugees. Clinicians are responsible for documenting clinical work in Spurwink’s electronic health record.

Qualifications:

Clinicians must be licensed in the state of Maine or eligible for licensure as an LMSWcc, LCSW, LCPCc, or LCPC.
